Something went wrong with our gold class tickets... manager was extremely nice and got us new seats within the hour. Saved my fiance and I a lot of anguish and money. Can't believe how sympathetic and high quality the service has been. Thank you so much

Usually any such hitches would give cause for irritation and low ratings, but due to the efficiency and professionalism with which our problem was handled, our experience left a very favourable impression, perhaps greater than if there had been no problem at all.

During the ads, my father and I noticed a slight yet detracting flickering of the screen, which we reported to the staff. Unfortunately, and through no fault of their own, the projector was indeed malfunctioning, and so the session was cancelled. However, after a little momentary panic at the thought of missing the film (and one I'd waited an especially long time for), the helpful manageress scheduled an extra showing of the movie an hour and half later; a showing arranged particularly for us, at which we happened to be the only audience members.

Nothing beats an obscure circa 1990's giant metal man.... Or nearly being stabbed in the carpark

I visited this cinema last week with my Dad to see War for the Planet of the Apes, and was pleasantly surprised with the quality I was met with. The large, spacious building is decorated in traditional theatre style, with colours, stars and exhibits sparking excitement in its crowds, and producing that wonderful, classic "cinema feel".

The visual picture stopped working while the audio continued until I had to go and notify them. They restarted the movie in the wrong place and ten minutes later it happened again. I heard the staff mentioning this happened quite often. Then asked to pay for another ticket for a later screening as I had to leave the earlier screening.

Took my 2 year old son out for a treat on Saturday night to see an animated film. As we waited 15 minutes in the queue to purchase tickets at the Candy Bar (ticket sale section closed), I specifically told the attendant I purchased the ticket from that I was with my 2 year old son. I purchased an adult and a child ticket plus a popcorn and drink for $51!! As I handed over my money dumbfounded, I felt the pressure to "hurry along" as the movie was starting and the queue was lengthy!! Still shocked by the cost, I reviewed the Village website today which informs me that kids under 3 are FREE (as long as the child sits on your lap). I am appalled that this option was not given to me, even when I specifically told the attendant my son's age when I was buying the ticket!! Plus they offer a discount for concession holders, which isn't mentioned anywhere in the Candy Bar where you buy tickets nor was I asked if I hold one. I was therefore overcharged approximately $20 to watch this 90 minute movie. I'm disappointed at the service I received and the lack of advertising of prices at the cinema.
